Aka produces over 675,000 gallons of natural gas liquids per day, which are predominately
delivered into NGL pipelines for transportation to fractionation facilities and major distribution hubs.
Aka Energy has experienced management and professional teams dedicated to providing

service to our customers and a rewarding workplace for our employees.
The Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s (“SUIT”, “Tribe”) Reservation lies in the northern half
of the San Jan Basin, just north of the Colorado/New Mexico border. In the 1990’s, the
Tribe built both wealth and expertise in the natural gas industry based primarily on the
Tribe’s substantial land ownership in the San Juan Basin coalbed methane play. Today the
Tribe manages a diversified multi-billion dollar portfolio of investments, including
substantial investments in real estate, alternative energy, and private equity in
additional to oil and gas interests both on and off the SUIT Reservation.
Aka was established in 2002 to pursue midstream natural gas opportunities
outside the boundaries of the SUIT reservation, where the Tribe already
had substantial business interests in producing, transporting, and
treating natural gas.
